Las Escenas norteamericanas de José Martí : su calidad polifónica

Abstract

In the present work an approach is made to the capacity of dialogue that José Martí had in a continuous way. That stranger, distant subject, unfolded in a dialogue with himself, trying to unveil the keys of the world in which he was living, and for that he used the voices of the others that surrounded him, of popular knowledge, of the anonymous anecdotes, of the identified voice of notable men, of the opinion of the North American press of its moment, with which often it even entered in controversy, and those were their arms to erect another facet of the dialogue, the one that carried out with the receiver of his Texts, the Latin American reader.
