Novelando y leyendo : una aspiración al conocimiento lúcido

Abstract

Este ensayo indaga la relación entre una selección de literatura mexicana y el “mundo de acción” (el mundo vivido e histórico). El propósito es poner de manifiesto la relación entre ambos según la teoría hermenéutica fenomenológica y filosófica desde Hans-Georg Gadamer, Paul Ricoeur y Mario Valdés. El artículo examina la mimesis desde dos perspectivas: la del acto creativo de escribir el mundo de acción por medio de formas literarias y la del acto racional de comentar la literatura a partir de teorías académicas. Con el fin de aclarar la discusión teórica, el fenómeno de la religión en el mundo particular del México contemporáneo se intercala con la explicación de la hermenéutica de la mimesis literaria. Así, este ensayo explica cómo, por el acto de escribir o de interpretar novelas, podemos expandir nuestro horizonte de comprensión de la novela y del mundo de acción.

This essay explores the relationship between a selection of Mexican literature and the “world of action” (the lived, historical world). Its purpose is to elaborate the way in which this relationship manifests itself, according to the phenomenological and philosophical hermeneutical theory of Hans-Georg Gadamer, Paul Ricoeur and Mario Valdés. This essay examines mimesis from two perspectives: the perspective of the creative act of inscribing the world of action through literary forms and the perspective of the rational act of commenting on literature through academic theory. In order to illustrate and clarify the theoretical discussion, the phenomenon of religion in the particular historical lived world of contemporary Mexico is interspersed with the explanation of the hermeneutic of literary mimesis. In this way this essay explores how, through the act of writing or interpreting fictional novels, we can broaden our horizon of understanding of both the novel and the world of action.
