El género testimonio en Latinoamérica : aproximaciones críticas en busca de su definición, genealogía y taxonomía

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo principal revisar aquellas aproximaciones críticas que desde los ochenta se han realizado en torno al testimonio. La crítica literaria latinoamericana y latinoamericanista la consideró un nuevo género literario. Se analiza el modo en que se busca, a veces infructuosamente, una definición para la modalidad testimonial, una genealogía que lo inscriba en la tradición cultural del continente y una taxonomía que pueda clasificar la gran variedad que presenta este tipo de discurso. Las propuestas son tan dispares como los tipos de producción testimonial.

This article reviews the critical approaches that from the eighties have been carried out around “testimonio” Latin American and Latin American literary criticism considered it a new literary genre.
