La proyección universal del Gran Caribe

Abstract

In this article, the author analyzes the image of the Great Caribbean, departing from its own history, and briefly characterizes the hurricane basin, its transformation, geographical and physical state, and the ways of life that are recreated in it. Among the latter stand out linguistic, ethnological, and environmental pluralism and syncretism. The everlasting, enormous cultural richness of the region, known worldwide, is highlighted. The author recounts the initiatives that emerged to foster the liberation, integration, and unity among its countries.
